11/03/99: Ghostly goings on at Belgrave Hall in Leicester have turned up new evidence of possible paranormal activity from a photograph taken during a nightly ghost watch.
Paranormal investigators John Burrows and Andrew Wright snapped the mysterious occurrence during a regular nights work at the hall ( pictured ).
The photo was taken at 4.15am one morning about a fortnight ago but it wasn’t until the two men got back home and looked closely at the digital image that they found the strange white cloud.
Said Andrew: “These orbs or ghost lights, don’t usually show up and have only been captured by digital cameras.
“We have sent examples to various manufacturers, but are convinced it is not the fault of the camera’s operating system. These things only occur at haunted sites. It is a mystery and we are as baffled as everybody else.”
Haunted Belgrave Hall recently aroused global media interest after staff claimed to have captured images of two ghostly figures on one of their security cameras.
Over the years, experts from around the world have been drawn to shadowy figures seen in the cellar, lounge and yard areas.
Some believe the ghost is the image of suffragette Charlotte Ellis, a victorian lady who lived at the hall at the turn of the century.
