I am writing to you so that some record can be made of the sighting I had yesterday at New Cross Gate station, in South East London.
I realise that all of the spots where sightings have occurred on your site are areas where residents are or were affluent. Perhaps this is because you have to be in a fairly relaxed state in order to register/acknowledge what you are seeing? I hope it's not the case that sightings in less affluent areas are not taken seriously or not seen as being noteworthy.
Anyway, I was on my way to work yesterday, at about 11am and had bought my ticket to go on the tube and was about to walk down the steps to the train, when I saw a figure approaching behind me, to my right hand side. He was a stocky man, wearing a blue and white anorak, old fashioned trousers and heavy black shoes, although I didn't hear his shoes on the hard floor. He hard dark hair and darkness around the face as though he had a beard or hadn't shaved. He was walking far too quickly and in very close proximity and as we were at the top of the stairs I turned to look at him head on, as I found this dangerous and threatening. However, when I turned around he was gone and there was no sign of anyone in or around the area where it happened.
There has been a lot of building works in the area lately and the area was the sight where the largest V2 bomb was dropped during the Second World War. I think it is possible that the structural work has disturbed the spirits in the area. I was also left with a headache after the incident occurred, although I didn't find the incident upsetting, just a little odd.
Anyway, I hope you'll take my episode seriously and consider adding it to your website so that others in the New Cross Gate area who have had similar sightings might be encouraged to share their's.
